Intro: This site is me working on a truck trying to turn it into a real truck. I found a truck in the Bulletin Board that looked interesting. The article read "1991 Dodge Ram 50 Lowrider, runs good new engine $800 (phone number) call after 4." This sparked my intrest and the intrest of a friend of mine. We decided to go check it out. We drove over 30 miles to see this truck. When I first saw it I thought it was kind of cool looking, but once we got closer... "what a piece of junk." This would be a great project truck. I could work on it in my spare time during the summer. Dad thought otherwise. He said that there wasnt any reason for me to buy it and that it wasnt worth the $800 the lady wanted for it. The truck was her son's truck. He went to the army and called his mom and said that he wanted "a big honkey truck" and that she could sell it for him. The truck says it's got 196,000 miles on it when I got it. The mother said that the boys had put a new engine in the beast and that the miles werent correct for that engine. I thought I'll try my bargaining skills. I eventually talked her down to $300. It took me a couple weeks but I only had to pay the $300.
